Pontymoile Basin Activity Hub Survey

The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal Adventure Triangle project has identified the Pontymoile canal basin as an important development hub, which can offer new leisure activities for local people and visitors. The aim is to offer canal related activities and access along the canal corridor to the wider countryside. Improvements planned will include a new café, activity space, car parking, toilets and showers.
We know how popular Pontymoile Basin already is, and we are keen to keep everyone who visits the site up to date as plans develop. Many of you are aware that the plans include the removal of the existing boat café. This decision has not been taken lightly but it has become apparent that it is no longer effective to maintain and difficult to keep secure for any tenant. A building designed sympathetically to the location will also come with its own free car parking which will be open during the café / activity hours. Extensive outdoor picnic / seating areas will be arranged for people to enjoy the sunshine and views out across the canal.

To shape these activities and how this facility can be run we would like to hear your views. Please can you spend a few minutes completing the survey below and adding your comments.
